From ER burnout to full-time practice owner
A 20-year emergency room physician was running a part-time wellness practice while the ER was killing him. Two heart attacks in. No marketing infrastructure. No path to scale. We built the patient-acquisition system that let him leave the hospital behind.

The ER was killing him
Dr. Lewis Spangler spent 20 years as a Board Certified Emergency Room Physician. Nine years in the Navy before that. He had started Mygenics on the side, passionate about longevity medicine and helping people optimize their health rather than just treating emergencies.
But Mygenics was stuck. No advertising. No systems. No predictable patient flow. Just word of mouth and whatever time he could carve out between ER shifts. The practice couldn’t scale enough to replace his hospital income.
Meanwhile, the ER grind was taking its toll. Two heart attacks. The stress was literally killing him. He needed Mygenics to grow fast enough to walk away from the hospital. But he had no marketing infrastructure and no time to figure it out himself.
Building the growth engine
We started with the foundation. A functional website to support advertising. Google Ads built from a blank account. Intent-driven search campaigns targeting hormone therapy, weight loss, and menopause treatments in the Fort Myers market.
Within months, leads started flowing. Ad spend scaled from $750 in the first quarter to over $100K per quarter as results proved out. The practice went from 4 leads in Q1 2022 to 975+ leads in Q1 2025. Cost per lead stabilized in the $60-$100 range and stayed there even as volume multiplied.
As the practice grew, we added the systems layer. CRM implementation with automated lead follow-up. Appointment booking and reminders. Pipeline tracking that connected ad spend to closed patients. The infrastructure that let Dr. Spangler manage growth without adding excessive staff.
Part-time to full-time
The numbers tell the scaling story. Monthly revenue grew from $41K to $130K. That is 3.2x growth over the engagement period. Traffic to the Mygenics brand grew 17x. Lead volume grew 14x.
But the numbers only matter because of what they enabled.
Dr. Spangler left the ER. Went full-time with Mygenics. Expanded to multiple locations. Brought on additional doctors. Built the practice he always wanted without the hospital shifts that were destroying his health.
The marketing infrastructure did not just generate leads. It built an exit strategy. That is the difference between running ads and building a growth system.
I started my antiaging clinic part-time while I worked my main job in the ER as a physician. After years of burnout, I decided to make my very enjoyable, stress-free job my full-time occupation. My only concern was how was I going to quickly ramp up from a part-time passion to a full-time commitment without having another heart attack: I had already had two. A friend told me about Bennett at Kinetic3 and I took a leap of faith. Bennett has helped me grow exponentially and even bring on additional doctors. Not only has the advertising resulted in great returns, the contact management and automations keep me growing without having to add excessive staff. He has been great for us.
