Do I need a maintenance plan if you built my website?
We strongly recommend it. WordPress sites need regular updates to stay secure and fast. Without a plan, you’re responsible for updates, backups, and security monitoring. Most clients find it’s worth the peace of mind.
What happens to my site if I cancel my plan?
Your site keeps running, but premium plugin licenses deactivate immediately. You’d need to purchase your own licenses to keep using those features. If you’re on Essentials or Growth, you’ll also need to move hosting elsewhere.
Can I use my own hosting instead of Kinsta?
Yes. The Foundations plan is designed for clients who host their own site. You get access to our premium plugin suite and 30 minutes of support per month, but you handle hosting, backups, and updates.
What’s included in the support time?
Minor content updates, troubleshooting, and small fixes. Larger changes like new pages, design updates, or feature additions are scoped separately or billed at our overage rate ($125/hour).
What does Patchstack security monitoring do?
Patchstack monitors for vulnerabilities in WordPress core, themes, and plugins. If a security issue is detected, we’re alerted and can patch it before it becomes a problem.
